Abstract
The author analyzes viewpoint trajectory of Bukeikhanov A. N., leader of the Kazakh national movement in the early XXth century. The article concerns political and socio-economic development of the Kazakh society in the time of sedentarization and modernization. Bukeihanov's experience is compared with ideas of other representatives of intellectual elite of the Asiatic Russia and Siberian regionalists (oblastniki).
