Polish Population in Novonikolayevsk (1890−1917)

Abstract
The object of the study is the Polish population of Novonikolayevsk in the late XIXth – the early XXth centuries. The Poles’ contribution to the city foundation, as well as the establishment of the Polish diaspora, its density and composition, and Poles’ role in economic life of Novonikolayevsk are analyzed. The involvement of the Polish diaspora in the activities of municipal authorities is described.
