Memories about Professor Kato Kyudzo

Abstract
The article is devoted to the memory of famous Japanese historian, archaeologist, anthropologist and interpreter, Professor Kato Kyudzo. It describes the main stages of his life and work, including the years of internment in the Soviet Union after the Soviet-Japanese War of 1945. The estimation of the contribution of Kato Kyudzo to the study of the ancient history of Siberia and Central Asia is given.
