Non-Russians of Transbaikalia as Viewed by Russian Physicians of the Late XIX – Early XX Century

Abstract
The article deals with peculiarities of perception of the Transbaikalian indigenous people by the Russian physicians in the late XIX – early XX century. The article considers main aspects of the study by the pre-revolutionary Russian physicians: health and traditional medicine of non-Russians, their physical anthropology and characteristics of demography. The author emphasizes succession of scientific research done by pre-revolutionary and Soviet physicians.
