Transcultural Interaction as a Factor of Interethnic Dialogue in Baikal Area

Abstract
The exploration of Baikal area resulted in initiating contacts between Russians and local peoples the Buryats, Evenks, Tofalars. An active adaptation to the new environment completely altered Russian lifestyle and caused some substitutions, borrowed in particular from the local culture. In its turn, the indigenous people borrowed a lot from Russians.
