The article concerns a new edition of the “Polish-Siberian library” of Irkutsk regional historical and memorial museum of Decembrists. A complete edition of “Siberian Diary” by a Polish exile Julian Sabinsky enables to specify composition of Polish exiles and their living conditions in Irkutsk and its suburbs, as well as level of relationship with Irkutsk dwellers of different social classes: government officials, merchants, Russian exiled. The author considers the contribution made by Polish exiles to the cultural development of the town.
