Khakass Steppe Dumas and Christianization of Native Ethnic Groups: Some Aspects

Abstract
By the example of Khakass people, indigenous population of the south of Enysey governorate, the article considers new political system of administration and self-government that was formed and acted on the basis of the Regulation of Indigenous Population of 1822. The author analyzes problems of religion in relations between tribal administration of Steppe Dumas and parish clergies of the Russian Orthodox Church.
