Abstract
The article concerns the work of epidemiological unit, which took steps against epidemics in the south of the Buryat Republic. The author examines provision of the medical units and elicits the problems that had to be overcome by medical personnel. The author characterizes the attitude of the local people, the Old Believers, and the Buryats towards the medical assistance.
