Letters and Travel Essays of Government Servants as a Source for Research on the Viewpoint on the Decembrists in the Russian Society in the Second Quarter of the XIXth Century

Abstract
On the basis of lettes and travel essays of government servants the article studies the viewpoints on the Decemrists in the Russian society in the second quarter of the XIXth century. It introduces the letters to the parents of N. M. Golitsyn, a participant of the senatorial inspection for Eastern Siberia in 1843–1845. The author resumes that over the specified period there was formed a main complex of the viewpoints specific to the subsequent studies on the Decemrists.
