Abstract
In the article, on the basis of the materials of the most up-to-date reports, the diplomatic activity of the governors-general is examined. Its main directions are presented: the work of the governors in securing the Russian empire of the Far Eastern regions, organizing international cooperation and ensuring the security of the borders of the Russian Empire.
