Abstract

The article concerns the early biographical period of the remarkable Siberian public and political personality P. V. Vologodskiy's (1863–1925). It deals with his published and unpublished memoirs, which refered to the study life in Krasnoyarsk, Tomsk and St. Petersburg, his formation as public figure, reterning to Siberia in 1887 and his service in the judical system. The article focuses on the organisation and activity of the expatriates Siberians' community in Petersburg in 1880-s, juridical reform in Siberia, significant moments in Siberian public life in late XIX c.
