On the Role of G. I. Spassky in the Activity of the Count Golovkin’s Embassy in China

Abstract
The article considers assignment of G. I. Spassky, a prospective scientist of Siberia, to the count Golovkin’s Embassy in China and his work at the Scientific Department. Some documents’ data is first-ever divulged. Besides the biographical details, the author systematizes the scientist’s papers related to the activity of the count Golovkin’s Embassy in 1805.
