Characteristics of Ethno-Demographical Situation in the Western Yakutia in the Mid-XIXth Century: Resettlement, Population size, and Ethno-Social Structure

Abstract

The article concerns the ethno-demographic situation in the mid-XIXth century in the Western Yakutia which corresponded to Vilyuisky district – the second most populated district in the Yakutsk region. The data on the three characteristics are generalized. The features of settlement and population of the Yakuts, the Tungus, and the Russians are defined. The ethno-social structure of the district is considered.
