The author overviews and analyzes the literature on activities of the Russian Orthodox Church in Yakutia from the pre-revolutionary period to the contemporaneity. The researchers’ viewpoints on the expansion of the Orthodox Christianity are considered. The history of the Russian Orthodox Church in Yakutat is examined as the process of integration in the All-Russian state space. The author suggests there are no complex research and analytical works on the Russian Orthodox Church’s activities in Yakutat. Whereas, historiographical potential of the research works enables objective and comprehensive study on the history of the Orthodox Christianity in Yakutia, including its civilizational component as the main integrator of Yakut territory into the Pan-Russian state space.
