Volost Courts of Transbaikal Region (1882–1917)

Abstract
The article deals with the judges and functions of the volost courts in Transbaikal region at the end of the XIXth – the early XXth centuries. The author gives a historiographical review on the issue. The volost courts’ sentences and decisions are analyzed. The volost courts’ activities are characterized.
