The Agrarian Question in Siberia in the XX Century: the Modernizers and Retrofit

Abstract
The analysis implemented in Siberia mega-projects, directed to the moderniza-tion of the agricultural system. It is concluded that the implementation of most of them to the planned results have not led. The main reason for failures was the passive resistance from the peasants, who saw in the reforms a threat to the traditional way of life.
