Between the Imperial Capital and Siberian Society: the Issues of Regional Self-Identity of the Administrative Officials of the XIX Century

Abstract
This article is dedicated to the issue of self-identity, the acknowledgement by the administrative officials of Siberia, their position between the common imperial and regional identities. The author evaluates the significance of various factors that might have been significant for the correlation of imperial/common Russian and regional/Siberian features in their self-awareness. The author also highlights the objective divergence of the interests of center and regions, the degree of convergence of state officials and Siberian society. In this article the examples of various self-identity patterns are represented.
