Traditions and Innovations of the Historical School
of Irkutsk State University: to the 100th Anniversary Since the Day of Foundation
The article focuses on the analysis of the results of the activity of the main scientific schools of the Department of History of Irkutsk State University in connection with the 100th anniversary since the foundation. The contribution to the formation of the Irkutsk school of historians is acknowledged. The first professors of Department of History include V. I. Ogorodnikov, B. E. Petri, B. G. Kubalov, I. G. Frank-Kamentsky. The development of the first traditions was continued by F. A. Kudryavtsev, S. V. Shostakovich, V. T. Agalakov, I. I. Kuznetsov, S. F. Koval, G. I. Medvedev, V. G. Tyukavkin, N. N. Shcherbakov and other researchers. Special attention is drawn to the analysis of the current state of of development by the Historical Science at the Department, the appearance of new directions and the extension of traditional research problems associated with the names of professors L. M. Dameshek, V. I. Dyatlova, A. A. Ivanov, S. I. Kuznetsov, V. P. Shakherov.
