The article analyses the consequences of banning the sales of alcoholic beverages during wartime in Russia. The problems from the growth of smuggling of alcoholic beverages in the Far Eastern region are being studied in the current work. In an effort to resist bootlegging (illegal production and importation of alcohol), Russian authorities agreed with the Chinese and Mongolian governments to prevent the illegal import of alcohol products, however this has not solved the problem: all efforts of the Russian, Mongolian and Chinese administrations focused on catching those directly affected by smuggling alcohol products across the border selling it to the Russians.
