Vsepoddanneyshy Reports of the Irkutsk Governor Generals of the End of XIX – the Beginning of the 20th Century as a Source of Studying of the Siberian Political Exile

Abstract

In article Vsepoddanneyshy reports of the Irkutsk governor generals of the end of XIX – the beginning of the XX century as a source for studying of the Siberian political exile are investigated. Authors come to a conclusion that the annual report – the important official document transferring in general objectively real picture of a state and the prospect of further development of this institute of punishment. At the same time, as well as any source, this demands the comprehensive analysis and critical comparison. It is considered as well a domestic historiography of a question.
