The article analyzes new monograph written by group of authors from Institute of Mongolian, Buddhist and Tibetan studies SB RAS and the State archive of the Republic of Buryatia. It has been highlighted, that the group of authors have analyzed beyond of the events at the Khalkhin-Gol River in 1939. At that time, three main events have come together in the history of the USSR and the MPR: military cooperation against Japanese invasion in 1939; national movement of the Mongolians to prop up the Red Army during the Great Patriotic War; Manchuria operation in 1945.
