The article is devoted to life and work of Professor Valentin Feliksovich Voyno-Yasenetsky (Archbishop Luka) and to his colleague, Avgusta Ivanovna Kashayeva. The data is based on A. I. Kashayeva's recollections of V. F. Voyno-Yasenetsky, their work together at Krasnoyarsk evacuation hospital no. 1515 and the hospital generally. The author provided unique evidence of the fellow doctor witnessing a difficult and busy period of life and work of V. F. Voyno-Yasenetsky in 1941–1944. On the basis of the archival documents, the author brought to light A. I. Kashayeva's biography, who was one of the people Valentin Feliksovich trusted at that time. According to Avgusta Ivanovna's recollections, some important details from the hectic working days at the hospital as well as the features of V. F. Voyno-Yasenetsky's work are recovered. The essential points from Archbishop Luka's religious life during the period in question are also revealed.
