On the documents of the State Archive of the Republic of Buryatia, the formation and activities of one of the state authorities of the Buryat-Mongolian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, the Plenipotentiary Representative Office operating in the city of Irkutsk from 1923 to 1925, are examined. The article highlights the important role of the Representative Office as a connecting administrative link between the center of the BMASSR and the western aimaks of the republic. The importance of the representative body in interaction with the institutions of the republic located in the city of Irkutsk is emphasized, providing assistance and assistance to officials of institutions and individual citizens of the Buryat Republic in protecting their rights and interests.
