Inner Mongolia as Part of the Empire of the Great Qing

Abstract

The article examines the internal policy of the Qing dynasty in the relationship between authorities of China and Inner Mongolia under command of the Manchu dynasty. The policy evolved into a new form of government and system of relationships between the Manchu dynasty and Inner Mongolia. Besides, the policy was influenced by Russia and Japan, manifested their interest towards the territory. The policy was also affected by Buddhism. All these factors shaped certain type of social and political relationship in Inner Mongolia.
