Individual House-Building to Resolve Housing Problem in the RSFSR in 1946–1991s (by the Example of the Far East)

Abstract
The article analyzes the effectiveness of individual house-building in resolving the housing problem. The author reveals that after the war housing was provided by the individual house-building. Later its significance was reduced due to the beginning of mass construction of public housing. During the reorganization period an attempt to revive individual house-building was made within the framework of a program «Housing-2000» which was available for restricted group of citizens.
