Abstract
The article described the process of formation of the professional status of a doctor in the late 17th – 19th century through the introduction of legislative acts regulating medical activity; the introduction of measures taken by the medical community. The purpose of the article is to analyze the regulatory framework of state documents, to highlight a special approach to the problem of the formation of medical personnel in Siberia (privileges, motivational measures). For the first time, the data of archival documents are introduced into scientific circulation.
