Abstract
The main purpose of the publication is to analyze the main achievements of the Yakut merchants of the 1st guild – P. A. Kushnarev and G. V. Nikiforov in the business and public spheres during the period of modernization of the Russian economy. It is noted that the study of the mission of the national merchants is relevant and scientifically significant. The problem of the succession of capital, the interaction of large entrepreneurs in economic activity is touched upon.
