Abstract
The article reveals the role of one of the prominent representatives of the Yakut intelligentsia A. P. Ryazansky in the administrative division Amginsky ulus, the development of agriculture, education and health care of Yakutia. His current and fateful ideas on organizing the colonization process in the republic on the eve of industrialization, taking into account the interests of indigenous people and the adaptation of aborigines to conscription for military service, are considered,
which is an example of “preservation of the people.”
