Service Biographies of the Princes Shuisky of the 16th – 17th

Abstract
The work devoted to the military biographies of the princes Shuisky is reviewed. The authors create a large-scale picture of the voivodeship service of several generations of this family. The
use of different methodological approaches by historians gives relevance and scientific novelty to the
topic under study. The service biographies of V. V. Nemoy Shuisky, I. A. Shuisky, I. P. Shuisky are
provided. K. E. Aksanyan and D. M. Volodikhin conducted a comparative analysis of the careers of
governors who had the same local status and clarified the factors that influenced promotion. The
result of the work is obtaining new data on the military service of the princes Shuisky and reconstructing the service biographies of the military leaders.
