The Сonsequences of the 1979 Chinese Military Aggression on the Economy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

Abstract
The article describes the damage caused to the economy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam because of the armed aggression of China in 1979. It was noted that the consequences of the war affected the development plans of Vietnam's national economy, domestic production and the country's export potential. The consequences of the conflict include an increase in the shortage of qualified personnel, equipment and material resources, and an imbalance in the state budget. The conclusion is made about the development of a systemic economic crisis, which has become one of the factors that led to the beginning of experimental market reforms.
