Abstract
The article is devoted to the work of the doctor of historical sciences, professor of Irkutsk State University V. T. Agalakov (1925–1990), who is known not only for his scientific works, but also remained in the memory of contemporaries as a wonderful and disinterested popularizer of historical knowledge. The article is based on the materials of the author's speech at the round table dedicated to the 100th anniversary of V. T. Agalakov and I. I. Kuznetsov, held at ISU on May 13, 2025.
