The History of the Siberian Exile of the Decembrists in the Materials of the State Archives of the Irkutsk Region

Abstract
The article examines the documents of the State Archive of the Irkutsk Region on the topic of the Decembrists. These documents include information about the arrival of the Decembrists in Irkutsk, their transportation to places of punishment, the parcels they received, the arrival of the Decembrists' wives to join their husbands, the transportation of state criminals to settlements after their terms of hard labor, and other documents. The article concludes that the documentary complex of the Decembrist era, which is stored in the State Archive of the Irkutsk Region, is an integral part of the national historical and documentary heritage and holds significant scientific and memorial value.
