Abstract
This article analyzes documents from the information and instructional subdepartment of
the Irkutsk Provincial Revolutionary Committee from the early 1920s as a historical source. The information department's reporting documents contain little-studied information on the political and economic situation in Irkutsk Province in the early 1920s, during the food tax system and the civil war.
