Abstract
The dynamics of the number and social composition of honorary citizens of district and non-district towns in ten provinces and regions of Siberia, the Far East, and the Steppe Region are examined. It is found that this segment accounted for approximately 45 % of awards of this title in the region. Honorary citizens of non-provincial and non-regional towns were more democratic and varied in their socio-professional characteristics.
