45th Guard shortcut division: source analysis

Abstract
The article examines the source-study capabilities and features of the publicly available archival documents of the Central Archive of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on the restoration of the combat path of the rifle division in 1941–1945, which included conscripts from the Baikal region: the Irkutsk Region, the Trans-Baikal Territory (Chita Region), and the Republic of Buryatia (Buryat-Mongolian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic).
