Sanitary Conditions of Settlements in Baikal Region in 1920-1930s

Abstract

The article is devoted to peasants’ healthy life-style in Baikal region in 1920–1930s, a period of formation and consolidation of Soviet power. The author presents interesting information about peasants’ day-to-day environment: villages, streets, estates, drinking water sources, etc. Particularly, the author describes events of Soviet life aimed at preventing negative things in a rural everyday life.
