Abstract
The article deals with the memoirs of the studies at Historical Department of Irkutsk State University written by L. Ya. Podolskaya, a student, further a postgraduate student of Historical Department of the university. The memoirs reveal main facts of the history of the Faculty, as well as the ambience and the nature of the relationship between teachers and students.
