Interethnic Mixing in the Baikal Region in the XVIIIth-XIXth Centuries

Abstract
Neighborhood of the villages and nomads camps, as well as population mixing which started in the mid-XVIIth century facilitated establishing contacts between the Russians and the Evenks (Tunguses). Cross marriages led to ancestral relationship between the Russians and Evenks families and often resulted in enduring friendship between them. Moreover, cross marriages affected the appearance of the inhabitants of Transbaikalia.
