Abstract
The article provides alternative perspectives on the topical issues of the Soviet economy in the 1920s. Different views of the Party leaders, scientists and economists, representatives of different social strata led to heated economic disputes, which became manifestation of «social pluralism» and public free-thinking during the New Economic Policy.
