Abstract
On the example of the administrative management of the capital city of one of the national marginal territories of the Russian Empire, the author examines political, administrative, economic and cultural relations between Siberia and the Kazakh territory at the turn of the 20-s of the XIXth century and the early XXth century.
Revolutionary events of 1917 and the formation of the Kazakh Soviet Autonomous Territorial Entity in the Russian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic resulted in the division of territories between Western Siberia and Kazakhstan in the early 20-s of the XXth century.
