Abstract

The aim of the author is to study the process of transition of the pharmaceutical service from the market system to military communism in Eastern Siberia at the final stage of the Civil war. Separately, the emergence of the Soviet control system within the Siberian region is considered, against which the features of Eastern Siberia are noted. In the shortest possible time, pharmaceutical structures under the provincial revolutionary committees were brought under the norms of the Soviet legislation already worked out in the Central regions of the country, which allowed to get away from unnecessary experiments. The most interesting section is devoted to the methods of recovery from the severe crisis in the industry caused by the separation of the region from supplies, both from the West and from the East in the conditions of the most powerful epidemic of typhus. In this situation, well-proven command management methods. All pharmacies were nationalized, and medicines and medical equipment were accounted for and requisitioned. In each region, pharmacy warehouses have been established, through which the distribution of medical goods in the region took place. In each province there was an independent combination of actions for replenishment of missing medicines. Particular attention is drawn to the personnel policy in pharmacies.
