A New Stage in the Study of History and Ethnography of Shoria

Abstract

The review article describes the characteristics of V. M. Kimeeva and A. I. Kopytov, presented in the form of historical and ethnographic essays on the Mountain Shoria. The authors draw attention to a number of aspects that show the history of the complex study of the region, describe the sacral and archaeological sites of Shoria, analyze different versions and hypotheses of the origin of modern Shors, show the first cartographic images on which Shor clans or townships are marked, assess the national-state Shorez self-determination, reveal the traditional life and spiritual culture of the Shor ethnos, describes the industrial development of the region and predict future prospects for development Tia Mountain Shoria. A positive assessment of the work performed is given.
