The article is devoted to the administrative career in the Eastern Siberia of the son of the Decembrist Vyacheslav Ivanovich Yakushkin. He was an official for special missions of the Governor-General N. N. Muravyev-Amursky. The study based on the historical concept of «man of the second plan».
