The Family of the Crown Rabbi S. Kh. Beilin within the Context of the Russian History of the XX Century

Abstract

The article discusses the history of the writer’s family of the writer, folklorist and ethnographer, official rabbi of Irkutsk 1901-1918. Solomon Haimovich Beilin. His life, like the life of all members of his family, began in the Russian Empire and changed abruptly several times during the 20th century, after going through hard times of revolutions, the Civil War, Soviet Russia of the 1920-1930s, the Great Patriotic War and the post-war period.
