Abstract

With the outbreak of World War II Russian ports of the western part of the Russian empire, except for the Arkhangelsk port, they were blocked and the role of the eastern margin of the Empire port in the supply of goods for the war effort with Japan and North America has increased dramatically. One of the most important activities of the Priamursky Governor-General N. L. Gondatti during the First World War was to ensure the safety of the Vladivostok port and rail infrastructure of the Far East of Russia, as in war has increased dramatically the threat to commit hostile reconnaissance of various kinds of sabotage to disrupt the regular supply the Russian army and navy.
