Everyday Life of Irkutsk Residents in 1918: The Czechoslovak Regiment in the City and the Attitude of Local Residents Towards the Czechs

Abstract
The purpose of this article is to examine the influence of the Czechoslovak Regiment on the daily life of Irkutsk residents. The article gives an idea of the changes that the soldiers of the Czechoslovak regiment made to the daily life of Irkutsk residents during the Civil War, how different segments of the population reacted to their entry into the city, how they treated the soldiers of the regiment. The article also discusses the issue of the relationship of the local Irkutsk population with soldiers. Much attention in this context is paid to the relationship between soldiers and female representatives of Irkutsk, who showed special interest in them. At the end of the article, conclusions are given that the arrival of soldiers of the Czechoslovak regiment was perceived quite positively by Irkutsk residents and had a great impact on their daily lives.
