Ortodox Communities of Buryatia During 1920s: Relationships with the State

Abstract
On the concrete examples, the article examines specificity of the relationships between the Orthodox communities and the state on the territory of the Republic of Buryatia in 1920s. The regional geopolitical and historical-cultural peculiarities determined evolution of these relationships: from partnership to confrontation. The article gives examples of the main events of the period, such as state registration, renovation split, anti-religious practices, etc.
