Strong Drinks in the Fishing Environment and Fur Trade in the North-East of Siberia at the Beginning of the 20th Century (Based on Materials from V. M. Zenzinova)

Abstract
The main purpose of the publication is to consider the role of strong drinks in the fur trade and fishing environment in the northeast of Siberia at the beginning of the 20th century. based on materials from the researcher of the North – V. M. Zenzinova. It is noted that in 1913–1914s. the annual profit from smuggling trade in strong drinks was 500 thousand rubles. In the fur trade, serving strong drinks formed and became established as a custom. The widespread distribution of strong drinks in the commercial environment was facilitated by the nature of life, the remoteness and inaccessibility of territories, sparse population, and the lack of regulated government trade.
