Advisors of the Yakut Regional Government of the First Half of the 19th Century: A Social Portrait

Abstract
The article provides a social portrait (class origin, age, religion, marital status, educational level, criminal record, property status and salary, administrative and military service experience, career after retirement) of the advisers of the Yakut regional government in the first half of the 19th century, based on the first-ever introduction into scientific circulation of official lists. The sociocultural characteristics of the provincial “middle bureaucracy” in Asian Russia are shown.
