Abstract
The article presents the results of a study characterizing the socio-political activities and
“political trustworthiness” of the deputies of the III convocation of the Russian Empire State Duma
elected in Irkutsk, Yenisei provinces and the Trans-Baikal region of the Irkutsk Governorate General.
The source base of the research consists of reports from employees of the Irkutsk gendarmerie department, county office materials, provincial and regional election commissions, as well as offices of
governors and Governor-General, stored in the funds of the State Archive of the Irkutsk region and
not previously introduced into scientific circulation. Based on the analysis of the discovered sources,
the author formulated the main conclusions characterizing the political orientation of the elected
parliamentarians, as well as their previous revolutionary experience and tactical and strategic prospects for participation in the work of the Russian Empire parliament.
